OpenWorld News provides investigative journalism to Fleet Street and the nation’s broadcasters. We are a commercial news agency that proves public interest journalism can still be profitable.

From The Daily Mail to Dispatches, The Sun to The Sunday Times, our exclusives are reported by the biggest names in news.

Since launching in summer 2012 our work has effected change and led the news agenda. Our investigation for Channel 4 Dispatches into the disposal of miscarried and aborted foetuses by hospitals forced a ban on the incineration of remains. Asides from being covered by every news outlet in the country, it also sparked similar investigations across the globe.

In April 2014 we revealed how supermarkets and high street restaurants are selling unmarked Halal meat to unsuspecting customers; a story which dominated UK press.

And in 2013 we uncovered how Comic Relief was investing millions of donated pounds in arms firms, tobacco companies, and alcohol producers. Our journalism led to a documentary with BBC Panorama, and saw the charity change its investment practices.

We have also reported from Nigeria’s troubled north for The Independent and The Guardian,  revealed police using Tasers on children as young as 11, and found workers in Indonesia receiving just 8p making celebrity-endorsed false eyelashes, while providing many more front page stories and spreads for national newspapers.

We break news, providing agenda-setting stories for others to follow.
