‘Project 250′ – King’s College London and the Equitable Life Assurance Society
To mark their 250th anniversary, Equitable Life CEO Chris Wiscarson contracted OpenWorld News to project manage a research paper entitled ‘Did anyone learn anything from the Equitable Crisis?’ Working together with Richard Roberts, Professor of Contemporary History at King’s College London, we examined the factors that contributed to the disaster, drawing parallels to the recent global financial crisis. The research aims to identify ways to mitigate the risk of future crises. The report was unveiled at an event at King’s College London on September 7, 2012, hosted by Sky News Political Editor Adam Boulton, along with a panel including Lord David Owen, Lord Robert Winston, and Daily Mail City Editor Alex Brummer.
